LAN Offers New Non-Stop Service to Peru from SFO
LAN Airlines begin fly to Lima, Peru, LAN will offer Northern California’s first direct connection to South America as well as continuing connecting flights to multiple destinations, including Sao Paulo, Brazil; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Santiago, Chile. San Francisco is the first new United States destination for LAN Airlines since 1990.

Recently named the “Best South American Airline” by SkyTrax, LAN Airlines will provide four flights each week on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday in their Boeing B767-300 airplane with business class and coach cabin. Roundtrip tickets start at $650 plus taxes. The new non-stop service to South America now offers California travelers new opportunities to experience the exotic destinations of Peru and beyond, including Machu Picchu and Iguazu Falls.
“We’re pleased to offer Californians and international visitors a new, direct route to South America,” said San Francisco’s Mayor Gavin Newsom. “With hundreds of flights each day to U.S. and international destinations, SFO is the perfect gateway for California travelers.”
