Holidaymakers travelling from Southampton Airport for summer holiday will now have even more to choose from when booking with tour operators Thomas Cook, Airtours or Direct Holidays.
In addition to the popular hotspots already on sale with these operators, the exciting new destination of Menorca has been added, with direct flights from Southampton into Mahon operating every Sunday from 29th May to 25th September 2011.
From family fun in unspoilt resorts, to the romance of secluded coves and an unhurried chill-out atmosphere that couples just love, this Balearic island offers holidays to suit all budgets and tastes, to keep visitors returning year after year.
Earlier this year, Thomas Cook, Airtours and Direct Holidays announced they would be offering a flight from Southampton to Palma, Majorca, every Saturday from 28th May to 17th September 2011.

Dave Lees, Managing Director of Southampton Airport, added: “We are delighted to welcome Thomas Cook to Southampton Airport for 2011. The excellent morning departure times from Southampton to both Menorca and Majorca mean holidaymakers can start their holiday sooner, and get even more of the day to relax.”
Richard Calvert, Managing Director for Mainstream Tour Operations at Thomas Cook UK & Ireland, said: “We know and understand that people like to use their regional airport wherever possible, and we're committed to doing just that for those looking to take a holiday from the Southampton region. We're excited to be able to confirm this new route and look forward to working really closely with the airport in 2011."
