A total of 1,897,202 passengers passed through Copenhagen Airport in May, reflecting an increase of about 200,000 passengers or 11.9% as compared with the same month of last year.
“We recorded growth across the board in May, and Copenhagen Airport is among the major European airports that have recorded the highest growth rates in 2010. In particular, it has been interesting to note the growth on a number of the intercontinental services both to North America and Asia, which contributes to underlining the position of Copenhagen Airport as a northern European traffic hub, said Carsten Nørland, VP, Sales for Copenhagen Airports.
The growth on Danish domestic services also continued, and the number of domestic passengers increased by 29,7% year on year. The number of international passengers grew by 10.0%, whilst transfer passengers grew by 12,2%.
