Lufthansa A380 coming to Copenhagen Airport

German airline Lufthansa has confirmed that it will do a Nordic tour with one of its three Airbus A380s the world’s biggest passenger airliner on 15 September. The A380 will land at Copenhagen Airport at 07.55 in the morning and is scheduled to take off for Stockholm at 10.00. It will be the first time an A380 lands at Copenhagen Airport.

Information for people who want to watch the event
The aircraft will land on one of Copenhagen Airport's two parallel runways, the 22L/04R. Wind conditions on the day will determine whether the approach will be from the Øresund or Vestamager. Copenhagen Airport has decided that the aircraft will be parked in the cargo area, i.e. in the eastern part of the airport area, which will give people the best view of the A380 from Kystvejen (the coastal road).

In order to avoid traffic problems, we urge people who want to see the A380 to travel to the airport by public transport on the day, i.e. either by Metro, train or bus. The free shuttle busses to the P15/P17 car parks leaving Terminal 3 every ten minutes can be used to go to the coastal road. There is no parking on the coastal road as it is expected that the P15/17 car parks will be fully booked.

Lufthansa reserves the right to cancel the event at short notice if the aircraft is needed in its ordinary traffic programme.
